CPPSEC2111 – Apply Security Procedures to Manage Intoxicated Persons

INTOXICATED PERSONS UNIT

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to identify, assess, and manage intoxicated persons in a security environment in accordance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements.

It involves applying standard operating procedures (SOPs), duty of care obligations, and relevant legal frameworks to ensure that responses to intoxicated individuals are safe, controlled, and proportionate.

Security officers must remain alert, use professional judgement, and respond appropriately to protect the safety of the intoxicated person, other patrons, staff, and the wider environment.
