CPPSEC2110 – Monitor and Control Individual and Crowd Behaviour to Maintain Security

CROWD CONTROL UNIT

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to monitor, assess, and manage the behaviour of individuals and crowds to maintain safety and security within a range of environments.

It involves applying standard operating procedures (SOPs), workplace policies, and legislative requirements to identify behavioural risks, prevent escalation, and respond appropriately to situations involving individuals or groups.

Security officers must remain alert, use sound judgement, and apply professional communication and behaviour management strategies to maintain order, reduce risk, and protect people and property.
