FIRST AID COURSES

Unit Overview and Pre-Enrolment Requirements. Please read carefully—these requirements form part of the enrolment conditions and must be completed within the required timeframe before attending your practical training session.

Unit Overview and Pre-Enrolment Requirements

Before attending the practical training session, all students are required to complete essential online components to ensure they are adequately prepared for the course.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) Assessment
Following submission of enrolment, students will receive a link to complete an LLND assessment online. This assessment is used to determine whether the student has the communication, reading, writing, numeracy and basic digital skills required to successfully participate in the training and assessment activities.
Students who experience difficulty completing the LLND assessment are encouraged to contact the training team so that appropriate support options can be discussed.
Once enrolment is confirmed, students will be provided with access to the student portal, which contains required reading materials and online knowledge assessment questions.
Both the online theory component and the LLND assessment must be completed and submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled practical training session. The online learning component may take up to 8 hours to complete, depending on the student’s existing knowledge and experience.

Important: Students who have not completed the required online theory and LLND assessment within the required timeframe will not be permitted to attend the practical session.

Students attending practical first aid training must wear comfortable clothing that allows for kneeling, bending and participation in CPR activities conducted on the floor.
Students must advise training staff prior to the session if they have any medical conditions or physical limitations affecting their back, knees or mobility, as CPR activities are physically demanding.
